According to President-Elect Ms. Linda Foster stated, “I will work diligently to ensure the social, political and economic equality for all residents in the Bloomington-Normal community. I am a committed foot-soldier and I am determined to remain steadfast and unmovable.”
1st Vice-President-Elect, Dr. Carla Campbell-Jackson, shared her vision for working to remove barriers of racial discrimination, while seeking its elimination. Youth engagement and empowerment are also part of her platform.
2nd Vice-President-Elect, Mrs. Willie Holton Halbert, is keenly focused on building community partnerships to assist with elevating the mission of the organization.
Treasurer-Elect, Dorothy Brooks, committed to transparency and accuracy in her role as the financial steward of the organization.
Continuing her role as Secretary, Sabrina Coleman will remain aligned with precise recording of meeting minutes and the efficient handling of correspondence.
The new officers will communicate their annual Plan of Action to the community in January of 2019 to ensure members have an opportunity to participate in the grassroots efforts of the organization.
